6912 Fiber Transition Module
Sumitomo Electric Lightwave’s (SEL) 6912 Fiber Transition Module is a convenient solution for connecting Ultra-High-Fiber-Count (UHFC) pliable ribbon cable directly to a rack for patch panel terminations. The 6912 Fiber Transition Module can be mounted at the top-rear of the rack or inside the rack, with adjustable height for flexible installation. The unit comes equipped with three large cable glands at the top, each of which can hold up to 6,912 pliable ribbon fiber cables. The fiber from this cable then transitions into up to eight smaller cable glands and conduits, each of which can accommodate as much as 864 to 2,304 fibers, which are then routed to SEL’s Pre-Terminated 6RU Patch Panels or other panel products.
