Indoor/Outdoor Special Application Tube Cables
FutureFLEX® Mass Transit Tube Cables are designed for use as an optical fiber cabling infrastructure, which meets NFPA 130 (Standard for Fixed Guideway Transit and Passenger Rail Systems) and low-smoke halogen-free (LSHF) requirements, which include FT4-ST-1/IEEE 1202 exposure requirements for char height, total smoke released, and peak smoke released rate of ANSI/UL 1685.
LSHF Riser Central Tube Cables
Sumitomo Electric Lightwave’s Freeform Ribbon™ Transit Outdoor/Indoor LSZH Steel Armored Ribbon Cables are designed for duct and direct-buried installations, featuring patented 12-fiber pliable Freeform Ribbon™ technology and a dry water-blocking yarn that eliminates gel, simplifying cleaning and prep.
Easy Installation and Flexibility
The 12-fiber ribbons may be spliced to a conventional ribbon, pliable ribbon, or non-ribbonized (single) fibers, as well as connectorized with both MPO and all industry-standard connectors. The non-preferential bend axis allows for easy installation in space-constrained areas and can be installed in a few hours instead of days, weeks, or months.
